When it comes to 3D images it is always best to use a stereo pair for best results. However
if you require a 2D to 3D conversion then we are able to assist you to gain the most
natural looking result achievable.
We have experienced 3D artists that are extremely good at 2D to 3D conversions. Your final 3D
conversion can then be displayed in a number of different ways, such as anaglyph, side by side
stereo pairs or a polarised slide show.
The Conversion Process
To convert 2D to 3D is a not a quick process. Our graphic artist first starts by identifying the
various objects within the image and their current estimated depths. Once this is complete we are able to
assess which parts and objects within that image need to be altered to achieve the desired 3D conversion.
The artist now moves onto the difficult part. Each section of the image is stretched and manipulated to
construct the other side of the stereo pair. This is followed by meticulously taking the image apart and completely
reassembling it. The reassemble process can take a long time due to fine work required in rebuilding parts
of the image that are damaged during the conversion and disassembly.
Of course every image is different, and because of this the end result will depending largely on the initial
image provided. However before we start we will give you a fairly good idea if an image can be turned
into a good conversion or a great one. If an image is a good candidate for 2D - 3D conversion and it is
converted correctly, then the result can be quite spectacular.
